Newton Locks (newtonlocks.co.uk) is a professional locksmith company based in South Devon, offering a comprehensive range of lock and security solutions across the county. Established in August 2024, Newton Locks approached R50 Website Design & Marketing to create their website, manage their social media presence, and implement a robust SEO strategy. Our objective was to build their digital presence from the ground up, delivering a fully integrated package to position them as a trusted name in the industry. This case study is about their website design project in particular.
The Brief

While Newton Locks had an established name and brand colours, they required a professional logo to enhance their visual identity. Our design team created multiple concepts, refining them based on feedback until the final version was chosen. This distinctive logo is now synonymous with Newton Locks across South Devon.
3. Website Development
We commenced the website build on a secure test server, allowing the client to review progress at each stage while keeping the project confidential until launch. The initial homepage design was shared with Newton Locks for feedback, ensuring alignment with their expectations. Transparency and collaboration were central to the process, with a structured weekly project plan providing clear updates on milestones and progress.
Once the homepage was approved, we proceeded with the development of the full site, incorporating engaging content and high-quality images. While the client had input into the content creation, we provided support to refine messaging and maintain consistency.
4. Quality Assurance & Launch
With the website fully developed, we conducted rigorous testing to ensure all elements were correctly positioned, content was error-free, and the user experience was seamless. Security was a key consideration, so we implemented an SSL certificate for data protection, alongside a Privacy Policy and cookie consent banner for compliance.
Upon final approval, the website was launched, providing Newton Locks with a professional, high-performance online presence that effectively showcases their services.
