This week, the R50 team had the pleasure of attending the latest Torbay Business Forum, spending the morning alongside fellow local businesses, organisations, and community leaders from across the English Riviera.
Events like these are always a fantastic opportunity to connect with people who are passionate about the future of our region. As a business proudly based in South Devon, it’s great to hear first-hand about the exciting developments, events, and initiatives helping to drive Torbay forward.
One of the highlights of the morning was hearing updates about the upcoming Agatha Christie Festival, which continues to attract visitors from across the world, celebrating one of the area’s most famous historical figures.
We also enjoyed hearing more about the English Riviera Seafood Feast, an event that showcases the incredible food, hospitality, and tourism businesses that make our coastline such a special destination. Supporting local industries and bringing more visitors into the area is something we are always keen to see.
Another exciting announcement was the continued development of Bay of Light 2026. The event has already become a major attraction for the region, drawing visitors throughout the winter months and helping to boost local businesses during a traditionally quieter period. It’s great to see the plans taking shape for another spectacular year.
The forum also provided valuable updates on the wider local business community, with discussions covering economic development, investment, growth opportunities, and ongoing projects across Torbay and South Devon. Staying connected to what’s happening locally helps businesses of all sizes work together and make a positive impact on the area.
Finally, it was particularly good to hear that Occombe Farm is once again open to visitors. As a much-loved local attraction, its reopening is fantastic news for residents, families, and visitors alike. Occombe Farm plays an important role within our community, and we’re delighted to see it welcoming people back through its doors.
